Each student can have a health record covering the essentials: blood group and genotype, allergies, any chronic conditions, current medications, an emergency contact, and a preferred hospital. Sensitive details are handled with care, insurance numbers, for instance, aren't exposed casually. The point is that when something happens, the child's key medical facts are in front of the nurse in seconds, not somewhere in a cabinet.
Log every sickbay visit
When a child comes to the sickbay, the visit gets recorded: the symptoms, temperature and pulse, what was found, what treatment was given, any medication administered, and how it ended, whether the child went back to class, was sent home, kept for observation, or referred on. Over time that builds a real picture. The child who visits every Monday, the recurring complaint, the pattern a single busy day would never reveal.
Tell parents automatically
This is the part parents care about most, and it happens on its own. When a sickbay visit is logged, every guardian of that child is emailed, with a summary of the visit attached. A parent doesn't find out at pickup that their child spent the afternoon in the sickbay. They know while it's happening. For a worried parent, that automatic note is worth a great deal.
Track immunisations
